Dr. Stephen Koelemay holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. He received his M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver in 2010.
Stephen has professional experience in many areas, including community mental health, hospital emergency departments, and social skills therapy in and around the Boulder/Denver area. From 2011 to 2018, he worked at the University of Colorado at Boulder, providing psychotherapy for college students at Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) and serving both as staff psychologist and a supervisor to therapists-in-training.
Prior to CAPS, Stephen worked with the Mental Health Center of Boulder and Broomfield County (MHCBBC) as a member of the crisis and adult outpatient therapy teams. At MHCBBC, Stephen provided crisis intervention services for hospital emergency rooms, as well as individual and group psychotherapy for adults from diverse backgrounds with moderate to severe mental illness.
